Founder and Clinical Director of YoungMINDED, brings over 25 years of clinical experience to her work with teens and young adults. She has supported young people across a range of settings, including treatment services, schools, private practice, community mental health, and youth outreach programmes. She also hosted a weekly radio show focused on adolescence and parenting for four years. Samantha’s style is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths based, helping clients feel understood while building practical change.
Samantha supports a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, family conflict, low self esteem, academic stress, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, school accommodations, identity exploration, trauma recovery, peer relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and life transitions. Therapy with Samantha is collaborative and goal focused. From the start, you will work together on practical coping skills you can use straight away, while also making sense of what is happening in your thoughts, feelings, and relationships. The aim is to help you feel more steady, more confident, and more able to handle life as it comes.
Confidentiality is a priority, so young people have a safe and private space to talk openly. Samantha also takes safety seriously and will act if there are significant concerns about risk, following professional and safeguarding guidelines. Most clients work with Samantha for around 10 to 15 sessions, which gives enough time to build trust, understand what is driving the difficulties, and develop strategies that last.
